Some applications that are running in the background may cause problems when trying to install the application. Verify the following types are turned off during the installation process:
Note: If you are still having installation problems on Win 7 after trying all the above suggestions, please send your computer’s information.
A. Start> Programs>Accessories> System Tools> System Information. After the program has been opened, select File> Save> save file and send a copy of systemname.NFO file for review.
B. Also, perform the following: start DOS command, c:\> Dir /s /o /ogne>systemname.txt, send me a copy of
the systemname.txt for review. This file may be large and can be shrunk by adding it to a ZIP file.
The Development team will review the information and try to help but there is no guarantee as PULS was never designed to run on Win 7 or higher.

B. The SELECTserver has not been updated. Press F9 keyboard key (generally located on the top row of a keyboard), the application is sending log information back to the Bentley hosted server, wait just a moment for the light show to stop. C. There are check out restrictions on the SELECTserver for the user and or the application. Please contact your Bentley On-site admin or Bentley Licensing Department. Only these people have access to the SELECTserver and will be able to look up and see where the licenses are located and what checkout restriction may be in place.
If you are a Bentley On-Site admin see more information about "Client Access Restrictions" and Custom Activation Groups.
If the License is in use by another, consider increasing your pooled license, contact your Bentley Account Manager for options and pricing.
4. Check the "Available" column to the right of the application
If the Value is greater than 0, therefore a license is available for the application, start PULS.
If the value is = 0, this means that there is no license available for this application in your current pooled license. Therefor the program will revert to DEMO model if you try to start it until such time that this value is > 0.
Things to Try:
1. With License Management Tool open, press F5 keyboard key (generally located on the top row of a keyboard), wait just a moment and the screen will be refreshed with the latest information from the SELECTserver. Search the product listing again for PULS Option 1,2, and/or 3.
