The following is displayed when using the program:
---------------------------
Error
---------------------------
E732-1: Angle is 0 deg. at bend XXX
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
How to resolve the issue ?
Typically this message is displayed when the next run after a bend element is in the exact same axis direction established by the previous pipe run. Remember how AutoPIPE segments are built, establish an origin point in space, and then provide DX, DY, DZ, coordinate offsets to the next node point. In this case, the model was built by entering the next node after the bend element such that there was no delta coordinate changes from axis direction established by the previous piping.
Question: How can a bend angle be anything but 0.00 in a straight pipe?
Answer: That is what makes it a straight pipe, bend angle = 0.00, and thus why this error message was displayed.
1. Insert a New segment, start point : DX= 0.00, Dy=0.00, Dz=0.00 (node B00)
2. Insert pipe run, Dy = 2.00 ft (node B01)
3. Insert Bend, Dy = 3.00 ft.(node B02) press OK button and Error above appears.
Enter any direction offset for the node point after the bend element such that it does not create a straight pipe. Or, modify bend to be a run point.
Example:
Option #1:
Modify node (ex. B02) with some value for Dx and/or Dz. In this example, change B02 DX offset from 0.00 to 1.00.
Note: The pipe has now changed from being transparent to being solid. This type of coloration is used by AutoPIPE to indicate an incomplete bend. For incomplete bends the user must fix the bend by a. modifying the node point offsets or b. reducing the bend radius such that it can be drawn between the bend's Near and Far points.
Option #2:
Convert node (ex. B01) from Bend node to Run node by using Modify > Convert Point To> "Run" command.
Note: Again, notice that the pipe is no longer transparent. Thus bend error has been fixed.
