Problem:

The following is displayed in the model *.MSG file?

*** ERROR: VSTP POINT NOT DEFINED. VSTP IGNORED.

What does this mean and how to fix it?

Solution:

The PXF file is calling for a V-stop support to be placed at a certain point and the point does not exist or is invalid.

Go back to the original model used to create the PXF file and review the support location. Be sure that the support node point(s) are exported to the PXF file. and Confirm the connection to the pipe.

Recommend that a support not be placed directly at a weld location (ex. where straight piping is connected to a bend). These weld locations are referred to in AutoPIPE as the bend's Near or Far point. Best to add a small distance from these weld locations on the straight pipe and insert the support at this new location.

This is a known issue for AutoPIPE CONNECT 10.01.00.09 and lower. Logged under TFS-D534758.

Avoidance:

a. Update to a higher version of the program.

b. Open the original model used to create the PXF file and confirm no supports was placed at the pipe-bend weld connection.
