Problem:

The following dialog appears when trying to create a Stress Isometric:

---------------------------
Bentley AutoPIPE
---------------------------
Unable to generate Stress Isometric. Please install OpenPlant Isometric Manager
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

why does this appear and How to avoid it.

Solution:

The message was displayed because AutoPIPE tried to create a Stress Isometric and the dependency application, OPIM, had not been installed. Or, the version of OPIM is different from version which is compatible with the current version of AutoPIPE.

To confirm which problem cause this warning to appear, start by checking what version of AutoPIPE and OPIM is currently installed on your computer (use OS procedures and application to check program versions, ex. Win10 Control Panel - Settings - Apps and Features) -

Compare these versions to the detailed Release notes here

Avoidance:

Install OPIM.

Under "How do I download, install, and license AutoPIPE?"> select a hyperlink from list of available versions> click on hyperlink for "Step #1: Download.

This page provide details to download and install some dependencies required by AutoPIPE, one of which was OpenPlant Isometric Manager.

Download and install OPIM application.

Notes:

1. OPIM is a separate installation from AutoPIPE, again, check to be sure that OPIM was installed, if not, locate the installation file for OPIM and start the install process.

2. Creating a Stress Isometric with OPIM is only available if AutoPIPE Advance or AutoPIPE Nuclear license are apart of your contract. There are no extra charge. However, always access OPIM from within AutoPIPE (i.e  File> Isometric> Save stress isometric or OpenPlant isometric Manager). Never open OPIM directly or double click a drawing file to open it in OPIM as this could count as usage of OPIM.

3. If OPIM is installed, confirm version of OPIM does not exceed that version number listed as a dependency for the version of AutoPIPE being used (see version readme file)

Example: AutoPIPE 12.00.00.14 has a dependency of OPIM 08.11.11.294. Therefore, do not install a higher version of OPIM with out expressed instructions from AutoPIPE technical support team. If this is the case, uninstall the current version of OPIM, download and install the version of the program listed in release notes here
