The following is displayed when performing a model consistency check report:
W2143-108: Stress Range factor > 1 is not allowed for non-ferrous materials. At Pipe(s
Why is that and how to Avoid it?
As the message indicates the Stress Range Factor is greater than 1.00. Reduce the value to be 1.00 or lower to remove this message.
From AutoPIPE help:
Note: In the 2004 edition of B31.3, Appendix P was still restricted to a reduction factor, f, of less than, or equal to 1.0. Therefore, this field is not available when the Use Appendix P (B31.3) option is enabled, for the 2004 edition of B31.3, on the General Model Options dialog. Instead a Range reduction factor, f, can be defined. For editions of B31.3 after 2004, this field is available even when the Use Appendix P (B31.3) option is enabled.
Typically this occurs when the factor is set and then Use Appendix P general option is enabled.
1. On the Tools> Model Consistency check report> notice the warning message and any offending pipe material ID names:

2. Open this Pipe Properties dialog screen, and reduce the factor to be less than 1.00
