Problem:

How to export an AutoPIPE model to DGN?

Solution:

The File > Import/Export > Export > DGN Model (*.dgn) command enables the user to export model data, results, and graphics in line mode and solid mode. Additionally, it will allow export of a deflected model for a selected non-code combination. The DGN model is exported inside the model directory with a filename <modelname>.dgn. Selecting this option will show the following dialog to select graphics export options.

Note: Before exporting an AutoPIPE file to DGN, check AutoPIPE segment naming convention. Segment names should only contain typical ascii characters (ex. A-Z, 0-9, _, -, etc..). Avoid using keyboard SHIFT number characters (ex @, #, $, %, &, etc...)

Configure the Export DGN dialog as needed, see AutoPIPE help for details of each check box; press OK to continue

In a moment the following should appear:

Done, now open / import the newly generated DGN file in a different application (ex. Bentley View, Microstation, etc..).
