02. Reason #2 - Why are the all load case values 0.00 for a particular node point in AutoPIPE's Refe

Problem:

For a given node point (A31), why are almost all of the load case values 0.00 in Reference Point loads sub-report?  

Solution:

Take a close look at the settings used for he Reference Point, What mistake was made.. on this dialog

Hint, look at the piping geometry, from left to right, Node point A30 is before the anchor, A31, The reference point is the Anchor A31. The load direction is from A31 looking towards A30.

OK.. Give up? one more minute...

Answer, the Reference SIDE is After A31 looking towards A30. Therefore, these settings are telling the application to start on the downstream side (After) of A31, look backwards through the anchor to see the loads acting on the Upstream (Before) face of A31. Essentially the report is looking at the anchor and the only loads acting on the Downstream (After) side of A31 are those loads coming from the downstream piping beyond A31.

Avoidance, change the setting from After to Before:
