Problem:

When trying to launch STAAD.Pro Connect Edition 21.00.02.30, by double clicking the icon on the desktop, in a Windows 7 operating system, the splash screen comes, but then an error message and the program closes. The message indicates to "Close the program" or "look for some solutions in the internet".

Cause:

Unsuccessful deployment of Visual C++ 2015 Redistributables for x64 on Windows 7-64 bit machines.

This can be confirmed from control panel - Add/Remove Programs area.

Another test is to launch "Sproview.exe" from the below path which provides the cause of failure to launch the program.

C:\Program Files\Bentley\Engineering\STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition\STAAD
