Problem:
The fallowing appears when trying to install AutoPIPE
Failed to install iTwin Analytical Synchronizer with error code 0x80070002...
Why and how to avoid it?
Solution:
There could be any number of reasons why the installer could not run as intended (ex. internet connection, Proxy Server settings, Virus protection, Permission, Company Policy, etc..). In this particular case a very specific error code was mentioned: 0x80070002.
Search the internet for reasons and solutions to this error code. In this case appears that 0x800705b4, is related to Windows Defender.
Suggest one or more of the following options:
1. Contact company IT department and ask that they address any common issues related internet connection, Proxy Server settings, Virus protection, Permission, Company Policy, etc.
2. If the computer does not have access to internet, then during installation suggest unchecking "Select Features to Install - iTwin Analytical Synchronizer".
3. Download and install iTwin Analytical Synchronizer before running AutoPIPE installer.
