What does the following warning mean and how to resolve it?
W2164-12:System contains Gaps/Friction/Soil data. Please enable non-linear option in the following Analysis sets
As mentioned, the warning explains that there are gap, friction, and/or soil value(s) that have been applied in the model, and if they are to be considered, must enable the option to perform a Non-linear analysis. Remember, a Linear Analysis will ignore all gap, friction, and soil settings when performing an analysis.
Please see the following AutoPIPE help section:
Help > Contents> Contents Tab> Reference Information> Analysis Considerations> Static Analysis> NonLinear Analysis> Nonlinear Analysis - Gaps, Friction and Soil Yielding Included.
As mentioned in the online help:
The nonlinear effect is specified by enabling the "Gaps/Friction/Soil" option in the Static Analysis dialog.
Note: This dialog above can be accessed from the Static Analysis Sets dialog (imaged below) by adding or modifying an Analysis Set. Otherwise, enable the Non-linear check-box indicated below
