How AutoPipe vessel takes care of Saddle if its placed on Transition element like Cone?

The diameter at the cone location where the saddle is attached is considered for the analysis, the calculation procedure is same as that of a saddle attached to a regular shell component. The various stresses are affected depending on where on the cone the saddle is attached.

When a saddle is located on a cone, APV performs a calculation as if it were a cylinder, with an equivalent diameter measured at the saddle location, as no other method exists in the design codes. The user must evaluate the validity of the results, considering that the shape at the bottom of the cone is almost cylindrical.

This is the reason why the drawing doesn't properly adapt to the cone's surface.

NB: there is a warning message in the report
580 SADDLE No. 1: this saddle is not located on a cylindrical shell (30.24).
