On the results grids, all combinations are checked ON and there is data for Displacements, Forces & Moments, Anchors, and Support Tabs but NOT for Code Stress Tab as shown below:
Why and how to fix?
There are 2 known reasons why the Results grids may be blank:
1. Under Tools> Combinations> there are no Combinations listed.
2. All piping is set to Rigid
With the model open in AutoPIPE select Tools> Model Options> Combinations> Select the :
If no combinations are listed then the Code Stress tab of the Results grids will be blank too. There must be at least one or more combinations listed in order to display information in the Results Grids.
Close the results dialog screen and look at the Look at the model, is there any PURPLE (magenta) colored pipe indicating Rigid properties:
As shown in the image above the entire system is covered with Rigid pipe properties. This is further confirmed by looking at the "Rigid Options" tab on the input grid.
AutoPIPE does not display stresses for rigid pipe components except Tees (only if Tools> Model Options> Results> Show rigid tee stress is enabled).
Delete rigid options over range,
Look again at the results Grids with out changing any other settings,
Now the code stress tab displays stresses as it should for pipe without rigid properties.
Conclusion, if your entire model is covered with rigid properties the Code Stress Results Grids & Output Report will be blank.
If this does not resolve the issue, perform the following:
1. With the offending model open in AutoPIPE, analyzed, and Results> Grids displayed. use the mouse and right click on the Windows Start Button and select RUN, enter the following %temp%,
A window should have opened to the users Window Temporary Folder.
2. Search for a folder that starts with "AP_", example AP_100000. Use the mouse to double left click on the folder to open it up. There will be at least one or more sub-folders, search for the sub-folder with the same name as the model with extra number at the end (example AutoPIPE model name = AP50SR1, temp folder name = AP50SR1_6757) and open it.
3. Search the listing for file with an MDB file extension. example: AP50SR1.MDB
4. The file size should be greater than 0.00 KB. If not, then there is a problem with the model, installation, or Antivirus application running in the background.
Another AutoPIPE database test would be to use File> Export> Results Database and Input Database. Again, both these files should be greater than 0.00kb and when open should contain the respective data.
5.Before doing any more investigation in AutoPIPE, suggest to work with your IT department, reboot your computer so no other applications are open, temporarily turn off all Anti-Virus Protection applications, and then start AutoPIPE; test to see if AutoPIPE will operate correctly now.
6. If you continue to have problems after all the above,
If none of the other reasons resolved the issue consider a complete uninstall and reinstall of the program - click here for instructions.
And, if after rebooting the computer, reinstall installing AutoPIPE with a newly downloaded installer, the problem continues, create a Bentley Case, ZIP all files in model's temp folder, and send to Bentley for review. Please also include screen recording or screen shots clearly showing the issue.
