Problem:

How you define a Seismic load combination in AutoPIPE?

Solution:

To include the seismic load case, you must follow the steps given below:

  1. Go to Loads > Environmental > Static Earthquake is selected; the Static Earthquake dialog is displayed. This dialog enables the user to define static earthquake load cases (E1 - E30) where forces are generated as multiples of gravity load in the (global) X, Y and Z directions.
  2. Then go to Analysis > Setup > Static Analysis Set. Select the Analysis Set no. you want to activate the seismic load case. Click on modify tab
  3. Choose the Earthquake cases you want to include in Seismic loadcase. Then click on Ok button. Analyse the system, the AutoPipe will automatically create the Code and Non-code combinations.
