Use the following steps to import an ISM file into STAAD Foundation Advanced.

Step 1. Start with a new file

Step 2. Choose the General Foundation Mode

Step 3. Create a New Isolated footing job (or one for any of the other foundation types like Combined or Pilecaps)

Step 4. Select Sync ISM - New from Repository

Step 5. Edit the job to add the load cases and supports

Step 6. Edit the load types.

Step 7. Design the foundations.

Proceed to enter the rest of the input data and design the foundations.

Note : For ISM files created from programs like RAM Structural System, you should switch on the box for "Export Support Reactions" at the time of creating the ISM repository.
