How do I activate RAM SBeam Version 7?
RAM SBeam CONNECT Edition Version 7 requires a Practitioner License to run beyond the trial period. This can be purchased through a Virtuoso Subscription here. For E365 accounts, RAM SBeam will be available as a standalone product at a daily rate. The following Administrator steps can be used to Assign the Practitioner License to a specific user.
Step 1 - Open the CONNECT center and sign in with an Admin or Co-Admin credential.
Step 2 - Open the Subscription Services Portal by clicking at the top where the name of the account is listed.
Step 3 - Open the Entitlement / License Management tile.
Step 4 - There should be a tile on the Home screen that indicates Practitioner. Click to open the Practitioner Licensing window.
Step 5 - There should be a row that indicates RAM SBeam. Click the Green + on the right end to Assign.
Step 6 - Enter a valid Connected User Name and click Assign.

Step 7 - install SBeam 7 on the user's machine. Now this user should be able to Sign In to the Bentley Connection Client and use RAM SBeam 7.
Why do I get a message that the SBeam trial license?
RAM SBeam 7 allows any user to open the software in trial model for up to 7 days, after which time a Practitioner License must be assigned for the user to continue using the program.
Does installing SBeam 7 remove prior versions?
Installing RAM SBeam 7.0 will automatically remove, or overwrite, prior versions 6.0 and 5.0. If there is a problem with the SBeam 7 installation, removing older versions first is recommended.
Does SBeam 7 Work on Windows 7?
RAM SBeam 7.0 includes the Bentley Connection Client version 11.00.02.20 which is not compatible with Windows 7. It is possible to remove this version of the Connection Client and revert to version 10.00.19.31, but this is uncertified.
