Problem Description

When attempting to export the Results Report to Microsoft Word 2016 with format included , an error stating the following is displayed:

"Please ensure MS Word is installed and running"

The error occurs even after verifying that Word is installed or attempts to reinstall the program.

Reason

Only the 64-bit version of Microsoft Word is installed while the affected versions of Ram Elements or Connection are 32 bit.

Solution

If using a 32 bit version of Ram Elements or Ram Connection, uninstall the 64-bit version of Microsoft Word 2016 and install the 32-bit version.

Using a modern 64 bit version of the Ram Application should also work with either the 64 bit or 32 bit versions of Word.

For some users by uninstalling MS Word and/or Excel, performing a clean installation of RAM Connection and/or RAM Elements, and reinstall MS Word and/or Excel get the reports working.

Worth checking too if in the Control Panel more than one version of MS Word/Excel installed.
