Why and how to avoid?

Solution:

The reason for this error message to appear is because AutoPIPE cannot validate your SELECT subscription to include AutoPIPE Advanced or AutoPIPE Nuclear license entitlements.

Note:

a. Perpetual licenses will not be able to use this feature because they do not have a valid SELECT Subscription.

b. Help in understanding or executing the optimizer, review Webinar here.

How to avoid this issue?

Support Optimizer is available to users that have both of the following on their BLT (Bentley Licensing Tool) scren:

a. AutoPIPE Advanced or AutoPIPE Nuclear

and

b. PipeStress Vessel SELECT Entitlement

Question:

What is PipeStress Vessel SELECT Entitlement?

Answer:

There is a special entitlement license named “PipeStress Vessel SELECT Entitlements” which is available free for anyone with valid SELECT Entitlement.

For any user having a license problem, confirm the following:

1. Open the "Welcome to AutoPIPE Licensing" dialog, and confirm that either AutoPIPE Advanced or AutoPIPE Nuclear license has been selected.

2. Open BLT and confirm whether “PipeStress Vessel SELECT Entitlements” is listed. On the Entitlements tab, Checkout License tab.

If "PipeStress Vessel SELECT Entitlements" is not listed then perform one or more of the following:

a. With computer connected to the internet, log into Connection Client, start AutoPIPE, open the "Welcome to AutoPIPE Licensing" dialog, and confirm that either AutoPIPE Advanced or Nuclear license has been selected. Then use Support Optimizer command. After submitting a job for analysis, the "PipeStress Vessel SELECT Entitlements" should now be available in BLT.

b. Use Activate Product command to try and activate the product.

C. Work with your Bentley Onsite admin to help address the issue.

Remember after making changes in BLT, use Tools> Refresh Policy to see updates.

Disconnected Use:

For a checked out scenario, before the computer is disconnected from the internet, suggest to open AutoPIPE and use Support Optimizer. This will automatically retrieved “PipeStress Vessel SELECT Entitlements” and would be displayed in BLT, and then go offline for 7 days. Afterwards one must reconnect to the internet again. For a more permanent offline solution, check out a license for both:

1. AutoPIPE Advanced / Nuclear

2. PipeStress Vessel Select Entitlements

Assuming that the above Licensing has been addressed, if you continue to have an issue, please follow these steps below:

1. Reboot your computer

2. Log into Connection Client

3. Open BLT (Bentley Licensing Tool)

Work with your company appointed Bentley On Site Admin:

a. Send logs Now

b. Refresh Policy

c. Reset Policy

d. Confirm Entitlement for either AutoPIPE Advance or AutoPIPE Nuclear

4. Open AutoPIPE.

5. Confirm that AutoPIPE Advanced or Nuclear license is being used.

6. Try to use Support Optimizer.

Only after the application has confirm your entitlements on BLT and using AutoPIPE Advanced or Nuclear license will you be able to use Support Optimizer.
