Feature Additions and Subtractions

ISM 3.0 (Structural Synchronizer V8i SELECTseries 4) can model transfer coordinate and display various types of plates called Feature additions.

These include:

• Base plates
• Gusset plates
• Web Stiffener plates

It can also punch openings through members such as a beam web opening called Feature subtractions.

 

New Materials

ISM 3.0 can transfer, coordinate and visualize members (or surfaces) of:

• Aluminum
• Masonry
• Timber
• Other materials

 

Reactions

ISM 3.0 can coordinate 2 kinds of reactions:

• Member end reactions for structural framing plans (GA Drawings)
• Base reactions for foundation design (e.g. with STAAD Foundation Advanced)

Rigt-clicking on ISM files in the Windows Explorere gives a much better user experience now.

 

Connection Tags

ISM 3.0 can store basic information about a connection and share that information between design applications and detailing applications through Connection Tags.
