STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition is closing down abruptly

I am trying to launch STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition. The software splash screen comes up and then everything closes down abruptly. What should I do ? 

Go to the folder C:\Users\<your_user_name>\AppData\Local\Bentley\Engineering\STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition\Default.

<your_user_name> would be your windows user name. For example for a user named John Smith, it could be John.Smith

Rename the folder "Default" to a different name. For example change the name from "Default" to "1_Default". Start the software and that should hopefully take care of the problem.

If not, try uninstalling and reinstalling the software as an administrator. If the issue is still not resolved, contact Bentley Technical Support.
