How do I Install, License, and Run AutoPIPE ATS (Automatic Test Set) 12.08 and higher?

Solution:

Notes:

1. Because of the significant amount of resources, not all versions of AutoPIPE are going to have an company ATS created. It may take 2-6 weeks after an AutoPIPE version is release before an ATS is available. The QA manager will make the software available for download and / or user can request a QA DVD containing all the software: AutoPIPE versions, ATS, etc.. will be sent to the designated person on your QA contract.

2. Each release of an ATS version is specifically created for a specific version of AutoPIPE. Therefore, the ATS software version must match the AutoPIPE software version mentioned in the ATS documentation. Do NOT mix the versions of these applications as it will void the test results and may ultimately fail to run properly..

3. Software Download

The videos below were created based on AutoPIPE QA&R 23.00.01.367, the general procedure holds true for all versions 12.08 and higher.

The videos guides the user to install 2 different software applications from the DVD's file structure. The respective software can also be downloaded:

AutoPIPE Folder - AutoPIPE software can be downloaded from Bentley's Software Download center using instructions here.

AutoPIPETestSet folder - ATS Software is only available to QA&R users, see detail information here to download.

***Important *** Install both applications downloaded before using AutoPIPE.

4. In order to run an AutoPIPE QA&R version with ATS, user MUST:

a. With in BLT (Bentley Licensing Tool) - Confirm "AutoPIPE Nuclear QA and Reporting" product status are listed with OK to run. If not, contact your company appointed Bentley On-site Admin asking them to give you entitlements for this level of licensing. In addition, work with them to make sure that BLT is functioning correctly.

If the end user has the correct entitlements, then suggest using each of the following commands inside of BLT under the Tools menu:

i. Tools> Send Logs Now

ii. Tools> Refresh Policy

iii. Tools> Reset Policy

iv. Tools> Activation Wizard

b. For the AutoPIPE QA&R version and the ATS to be available in AutoPIPE QA&R 23 version or higher, open License Configuration dialog, enable radio buttons for an editions of AutoPIPE (ex. Standard, Advanced, or Nuclear) and enable check box in front of "AutoPIPE QA&R"

c. Users who are not connected to the license service will need to check out both entitlements .

5. If using AutoPIPE v.23.00.01.367, see documentation sent via email or on DVD; "AutoPIPE QA&R Licensing Change" for details.

6. If there are complications with reading the DVD sent, please file a case, mention this WIKI page, and request a new DVD.

Upon initiating the mentioned feature, conduct an online search to find instructions on how to uninstall applications from a particular Operating System

After the application has been uninstalled, locate and manually remove the ATS installation folder as mentioned in readme file / release notes.
