While designing the beams as per IS13920-2016 STAAD states that, WARNING: BEAM # **, CODE RECOMMENDS THAT WIDTH/DEPTH > 0.3.
Can you please explain what is the reason behind the message and how can I get rid of it ?
As per clause 6.1.1 beams shall preferably have width to depth ratio of more than 0.3. As in your case some of the beams are not maintaining that ratio, program checks and report the same through warnings with corresponding beam numbers. To avoid this warning you should provide the depth and width of the beams in such a way so that the ratio is maintained.
