The Catalog Manager Service is stopped / Bentley Structural Property Catalog Manager is not connecte

When I launch the STAAD.Pro Connect Edition, I get the following error message

What should I do to rectify this issue ?

Here are a list of Options for you to try out 

Option 1

You are getting the message most likely because the Bentley Property Catalog Service is stopped in your machine. You will need to start this service.

  1. Log in as the administrator.
  2. Right click on the Task Bar and select Task Manager.
  3. Go to the Services tab. Select the Bentley Property Catalog Service, as shown in the picture below.
  4. Right click on it and choose Start.

  

Next time when you start the software, the error message should not appear.

Option 2

If the option 1 does not resolve the issue, please try running STAAD.Pro CE as an administrator. To do that simply right click on the shortcut for STAAD.Pro CE and choose Run as Administrator.

Option 3

If neither options 1 and 2 work for you, please follow the steps below 

  1. Uninstall STAAD.Pro CE
  2. Uninstall Bentley SPC server
  3. Uninstall Bentley Structure Property Catalog ( including all previous versions)
  4. Reinstall STAAD.Pro CE with full admin right
