QUESTION : The design results for V/M Interaction shows the demand for AsFy is zero at 0.8L except at a few locations near the piers of the user multiple span model also the mild reinforcing appears to be overstressed.  However, hand calculations shows that the post-tensioning tendons should be adequate without consideration for mild steel to resist the total tension demand.


At 0.2L, 0.8L …..  Distances CG of the tendon is at height H/2 and the program is not taking into consideration of tendons in those locations .One of the workaround solution for this issue is to have “Points of Interest” located few feet to the left or right and you can see that the program will take into consideration of tendon in the design.
