QUESTION: For a skewed bridge with no deck, while calculating the skew correction factor what value does Leap Conspan considers for thickness of slab (ts) ?

ANSWER:

For a skewed bridge with no deck ,while calculating the skew correction factor the program is using the section flange thickness for ts.

The formula is obtained from Table 4.6.2.2.3c-1

Skew Correction Factor – 1.0 + 0.2*( (12.0*L*ts^3) / kg )^0.3 * tan ϴ
