Problem

What happens to text when upgrading V7 files?

 Does it get assigned to a text style?

Solution

When saving a MicroStation  V7 file to MicroStation V8 no text style is added.

The default is "Text Style (None)", which is the logical choice since the MicroStation version 7 format did not include text styles.
