Problem

Dimension extension lines do not show up even the dimension style has been replaced by another dimension style which has extension lines defined.

Solution

The file originally came from V7. Dimensions were placed without extension lines. In V8, to apply another dimension style with extension lines to this former V7 dimensions, you first need to enable the extension line property for those dimensions:
1. Select all dimensions
2. Key-in: CHANGE DIMENSION EXTENSION ON
