How to get a steel take off for some specific group of members?
If there is no group of members created, then one can assign a STEEL TAKE OFF command to the selected members. The command line in the input file could look like this: STEEL TAKE OFF LIST 1 TO 4. In this case, the steel take off of members 1 to 4 only will be reported in the Output file.
If the group of members is already defined in the Utilities -> Groups menu (i.e. a group of members with a name _COLUMNS), then one can enter such command line in the input file by using the STAAD Editor: STEEL TAKE OFF LIST _COLUMNS. In this case, the steel take off of members which are assigned to the group _COLUMNS only will be reported in the Output file.
