To add columns to the pier structure click on the Column button and it will activate the Column screen.

This screen will appear differently depending on the selected column shape, i.e., rectangular, round, rectangular tapered, rectangular chamfered, hexagonal, or octagonal. For tapered columns, you have three options: Rect. Tapered in X-Dir, Rect. Tapered in Z-Dir, and Rect. With Both Tapered (X, Z-Dir). Data input is similar for all options. 

NOTE:  This button is not available for hammerhead pier design.  The program also does not allow a column to have a hollow section.
