QUESTION: One way shear :How to Measure distances to calculate critical section distance dv from face of the column ?

ANSWER:

Generally the measurement is done from the center of the first column .

The first distance is from the center of the first column to @ a distance “d” from the face of the first column.

The second distance is from the center of the first column to @ a distance “d” from the face of the second column.
