Problem
How to merge custom linestyle resource files together.
Product: MicroStation V8i, CONNECT Edition

Solution
Use Linestyle Manager in the Linestyle Editor to copy linestyles from
one resource file to another.
- How to do it in MicroStation V8i:
1. Go to Element>Linestyle>Edit pull-down menu
2. From Line Style Editor go to File>Manage this opens the Select
Destination Line Style Library dialog.
3. Hit the 'Cancel' button this brings up the Manage Line Style

4. Go to the File>Open Destination File
5. Select the resource file that you want to copy the linestyles
6. Go to File>Open Source File
7. Select resource file that you want to copy linestyles from
8. Select linestyle
9. Hit 'Copy' to copy linestyle from source to destination file

Access this dialog from the Attribute section
- From the Drawing Task menu, choose the Home ribbon group to select the Attribute section
- Go to Linestyle pick list and select 'Manage'
- From Line Style Editor go to File>Manage this opens the Select Destination Line Style Library dialog
- Go to the File>Open Destination File
- Select the resource file that you want to copy the linestyles
- Go to File>Open Source File
- Select resource file that you want to copy linestyles from
- Select linestyle
- Hit 'Copy' to copy linestyle from source to destination file
