When a .UPT file is imported to STAAD.Pro user table manager, the below pop-up message appears. Why the error is coming and how to rectify it?
Solution:
If the external UPT file path contains " - " (with blank spaces before and after the hyphen sign), then the warning message is displayed.
Also I would like to mention that if there is no space given prior and after ‘-‘ then this warning is not there.
So, if the file name in the local machine (example D drive) is like “Model-Test”, then the warning will not be there but if the file name is like “Model - Test” (that means space given prior and after ‘-‘), then the pop-up message will appear.
My suggestion will be to copy the STAAD file and UPT file in the local machine (example D drive) and then import the UPT file. Also please make sure there is not any ‘-‘ sign in the path of the .UPT file.
