QUESTION: When updating an old OpenBridge Modeler file from previous versions, these files do have different schema but they might also have new features and specific layers. How to update this?
ANSWER: These are the OpenBridge Standards, to update them, the users can go to the Explorer window inside the OpenBridge Modeler file and follow the steps below, as also highlighted in the screenshot below:
- Select OpenBridge Standard;
- Open the tree menu and;
- Right-click at the DGN file name;
- Select Update Standards From dgnlib
This will set all current standards to the necessary new updated file schema and allow users to continue their work with all Bridge-specific element types in the correct layers.
