Background
I have a model made up of multiple individual triangles in 3D that conforms a pyramid and want to project a 2D drawing onto the multiple triangles so it follows the 3D surface of the pyramid
Steps to Accomplish
- In the Visualization Task select the ' Stencil 2D Elements on 3D Geometry ' tool
- In the Tool Settings dialog select the icon ' Stencil Selected Elements ' and set the direction to Z
- Optional - In the Tool Settings dialog check the ' Remove Original Elements ' thus the 2D drawing is removed. Also set the Surface Offset and Tolerance required
- In the Top view select the 2D drawing to project and accept with a data point in the view to project the 2D drawing over the multiple 3D triangles in the Z direction
