In RAM Connection integrated within STAAD.Pro only one smart template of chord branches truss connection (CHB) is available. How does program assign different type of connections like K, Y and X?

HSS-to-HSS truss connections consist of one or more branch members that are directly welded to a continuous chord that passes through the connection. The classification of these connections as K- (which includes N-), Y- (which includes T-), or cross- (also known as X-) connections is based on the method of force transfer in the connection, not on the physical appearance of the connection. This classification details is available in Design guide 24 clause number 8.3. The program automatically checks the criteria and classify the connection type as appropriate. The calculation report prints the connection type for users. You can verify the same from report generated for every connection.
