How can I create a custom connection in the RAM Connection interface within STAAD.Pro and apply that to my model?
The steps to define a custom connection using the RAM Connection interface in STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition are listed next
STEP 1 :
After completing analysis in a model, go to Connection Design > Connection Database and create a New Group for the connection
STEP 2 :
Within the new group, create a New Table. Input a Table Name ( named CUST_TABLE in this example) and all the input parameters associated with the connection type you are trying to define
STEP 3 :
Once the New Table name shows up under the Tables box, click on New Item
STEP 4 :
STEP 5 :
The new Connection template BCW-1 now gets added to the list of similar connection templates as shown next
This completes defining a custom connection template and you are now ready to apply the connection to your model.
STEP 6 :
The custom connection would then get applied to the model as shown next
The name of the Template (BCW-1) within the RAM Connection Input table, confirms that the custom connection has been applied.
