OpenBridge Modeler or OpenBridge Designer? What are the differences?

This is an FAQ from new admins and some users on what they should use or install for their specific workflow: OpenBridge Modeler or OpenBridge Designer. While OpenBridge Modeler is 3D parametric modeling software for bridges, OpenBridge Designer is a single product that creates interoperable physical and analytical models.

So, what are the differences? First, OpenBridge Modeler is included inside OpenBridge Designer, so users can achieve more with it. However, sometimes, this is not necessary as OpenBridge Modeler already integrates with civil design applications and leverages enhanced visualization for creating 3D bridge models within the context of an overall transportation project.

OpenBridge Designer consolidates the modeling capabilities of OpenBridge Modeler and the analysis and design features of LEAP Bridge Concrete, LEAP Bridge Steel, and RM Bridge Enterprise. OpenBridge Designer was created to meet the design and construction needs of all types of bridges and can be utilized throughout the lifecycle of steel, concrete, and composite bridges.
