Problem

Installation of MicroStation hangs. MicroStation installation appears to be hung and will not respond. This occurs even though user has internet connection.
 

Solution

Verify user internet connection by going to https://www.bentley.com/en/support (Bentley Support page)
If user has valid login, have them attempt to download "Bentley Visualization Content"
This is under "Prerequisite Pack for Bentley Desktop Applications".
This can be downloaded manually which will remove the need for it to be downloaded during installation process. If this process is very slow this is an indication that user internet connection is causing the installation process to appear hung when in fact it is attempting to download the necessary components.
