QUESTION: PennDOT DM-4 specifications -- Does LBS calculate the ADTT_SL value using the “p” value from DM-4 Table 3.6.1.4.2-1?

ANSWER:

If the “Pennsylvania” option is selected in the State Specifications. In the Design check Option Dialog box the Highway Type is grayed out and the option to select the PTF (Pennsylvania Traffic Factor) Case I, II, or III is available. If the user enters the ADTT value, as defined by AASHTO 3.6.1.4.2, Leap Bridge Steel calculates the ADTT_SL value using the “p” value from DM-4 Table 3.6.1.4.2-1.
