QUESTION: Rating – How is longitudinal Reinforcement RF calculated?

ANSWER:

The “Longitudinal Reinforcement Check” is basically the RF calculated for the Negative Reinforcement Continuity Steel added to counter the Negative moment above the Support.

When the Negative Reinforcement Continuity Steel is added and in the Rating Parameters if the “Longitudinal Reinforcement Check” option is selected.

Then the program is generating the RF for Long. Reinforcement.

Generally this is an additional check that is performed .
