Problem Description
Cannot open Civil3D DWG fully in Microstation.
Steps to Resolve
check the following steps to determine if the correct software versions are being used:
1. Open any DWG file in Microstation and Use
keyin>version.
This will verify which version of Autodesk RealDWG is being used
2. Download the relevant version of Civil3D Object Enabler according to the version of RealDWG you have installed. Please ensure you have the x32 bit version of Civil3D OE, not x64.
3. When installing Civil3D OE, you will be prompted to select the version of the RealDWG you are using. Enter the version that is listed from entering the keyin>version.
You may also need to change
DWG Open Option – Advanced->Custom/Proxy Objects->Custom Objects Display View to “Isometric”.
Please be aware that a follow up release of Civil3D R2014 does not support RealDWG as a hostApp.
It is recommended that you do not download Civil3D_2014_OE_32Bit_SP1.exe.
In its place it is recommended to install the initial release Civil3D_2014_OE_32Bit.exe.
