The time dependency of specific material properties can be considered in the OpenBridge Designer analysis. In RM Bridge, these time dependencies are defined by variables for creep, shrinkage, and relaxation which are definitions prepared for each material property group. There is also an additional option to use internal formulas. The element's properties are shown in their respective table. More technical information can be found at the links below. To save time in intermediate runs, at the Recalculation window > Basic Settings > Calculations, the users can define the Activation or Deactivation of the Creep & Shrinkage and Relaxation calculations.
For Creep and shrinkage and other specific Load cases, like Prestressing and Non-linear Temperature, the resulting internal forces may be divided into two parts that form a Total: Primary and Secondary. Primary will consider the free deformability of the system, while Secondary will consider the support reactions constraints. The reason for the separation is that in most Codes their collaboration shall be treated differently. More information can be found in RM Bridge Analysis User Manual and in the Demo & FAQ Examples and documents
