Problem Description

MicroStation freezes when trying to export to STL file.

Steps to Resolve

Increase the values for Chord Tolerance, Angle Tolerance and Max Edge Length.

• Go to File > Export > 3D Modeling File Types > Stereolithography (*.stl).
• In Save As Stereolithography File:
  • Choose the file name and location.
  • Set facet options (Chord Tolerance, Angle Tolerance, Max Edge Length).
  • Choose Binary or ASCII STL.
