Can we create a template of STAAD.Pro report and use it for another STAAD.Pro models?
In STAAD.Pro 2023 a new Reports workflow has been implemented. One of the enhancements in it is an ability to create a Report Template and use it for any other STAAD.Pro model or even share that template with the colleagues along the organization.
A template is an XML file used to store selected report items, styles, watermark, etc. present in the report workflow. A template file contains:
To create a Report template:
1) Analyze a model and then go to the Reports workflow:
2) Add the required items to the Report Builder list:
3) If required, change the header, font or some other options in the Configure menu:
4) On the Reports ribbon tab, select the Save icon in the Templates group:
5) In the opened Save Template dialog, provide the template name and a folder where it will be saved and click Save:
To include all items regardless of their selection status, clear the Save selected items only option.
To use the template in another STAAD.Pro models:
1) In the Reports workflow, select the Load icon in the Templates group:
2) In the opened dialog, click Add button and then Browse button to find a created template if it was saved in some non-default folder. Then click Add:
3) Select the required report from the list and click Load:
Note: If report items are present in the template but not available in the model, a message is displayed.
