Two connection points in the respective cross-section geometrically define a spring between two nodes. The spring has to be connected at least at one node to a structure node of an element part at the segment point, and then the other node is situated at the second connection point. The active segment is represented at the right part of the window, whilst the user may choose the second segment at the left part of the GUI. The spring can be placed either before or after a certain segment point, and the support spring constants must be defined using the Constants.
As shown in the image above, the Spring's relative position to the Global Axis should be considered, and this can be verified at the RM Bridge Main View using the option Draw support conditions at View Options.
