At Modeler inside RM Bridge in the Cross-Sections, users can define Parts that are used to define the Beams and Nodes for the structural system to be used in the analysis and calculations. Although most models will have only one Part 1 that is pre-defined and it is always existing, some projects might need it to be modified.
Users can edit:
- the position of Parts, by editing the reference point;
- the number of Parts, by inserting a New Part in the Parts list;
- the composition of Parts, by referencing partial beam elements to create composite structures of two or more different materials properties.
Multiple girders and grillage analyses will lead to the creation of more than one line of elements and nodes. Still. this can be achieved with either more than one axis or it could also be much more simple to do it in only one Cross-Section. By thinking about these requirements beforehand users can create a reference Cross-section and use Insert another Cross-section at a position to create several sister beams.
