RM Bridge allows for creating Cross-section details like longitudinal Stiffeners for steel plate elements.
Placing stiffeners is done inside Modeler, at the Cross-section edit window and four different shapes are available:
- U: create U-shape stiffener with 3 thicknesses, 2 angles, height, and width (as shown in the picture below);
- T: create T-shape stiffener with 2 thicknesses, height, and width;
- L: create L-shape stiffener with 2 thicknesses, height, and width;
- I: create I-shape stiffener with 1 thickness, height, and width.

A local perpendicular Construction Line sets the stiffener's position and stiffeners are connected to a cross-section element that must not be locally subdivided.
Rounded element edges can also receive stiffeners, but this could require more subdivision of elements, depending on the relation of the element length and the radius.
