Problem

Cannot drop cells in imported DWG file in MicroStation

Solution

The issue can be caused by multiple levels of cells nested in cells or by drawing corruption.

To solve the problem do the following:

1.) In case of cells nested in cells, open the DWG in a corresponding version of AutoCAD and drop the cells repeatedly, untill all nested levels of cells are dropped (use the AutoCAD command EXPLODE or EXPLODEALL)

2.) If drawing corruption is causing the problem, open the DWG in a corresponding version of AutoCAD and try repairing the file by running the following commands:

- PURGE

- AUDIT

- RECOVER or RECOVERALL
