When performing the Google Earth Export the whole file is exported out to the KML \ KMZ. How do I export only a part of the file using a fence, selection or view?
This can be achieved using a Clip Volume or clipped reference.
One way is to use a Clip Volume in the design model.
A more flexible way is using a separate model and clipping the
referenced model:
1. Build your model normally with Geographic Coordinate System (GCS).
2. Create another 3D design model. Assign to this new model the same GCS as used in the original model or another suitable one,
e.g. EPSG:900913 (Google Maps Mercator)
3. Attach the original model using "Geographic - Reprojected" as attachment method.
4. Clip the referenced model using the available tools, either clipping the reference or using a Clip Volume.
5. Export the model to Google Earth the usual way.
