What code is used for designing cold-formed steel, and what sections can be designed using this code?
The 2016 AISI S100 code can be used to design cold-formed steel members. It can be selected from the Current Code dropdown menu in the Steel Design window as shown below:
Design as per the AISI code can be performed on any of the sections in the Cold-formed database, as shown here:
It also supports design of other cold formed sections from other different country database.
