Problem

How to disable remapping colors for reference attachments, cell libraries, and level library attachments.
How to disable remapping of colors when the color tables are different for reference files, level library attachments and/or cell library attachments.

Solution - MicroStation v8i

Go to Workspace > Preferences > Reference Category, disable "Remap Colors on Copy". This will cause MicroStation to keep the color number assignment instead of looking for the best color (HSV) match.

Solution - MicroStation CONNECT Edition

Navigate to File > Settings > Preferences > Reference Category. Disable the "Remap Colors on Copy" setting.
